The Coordinating Council of Broward, along with our partner organizations is tracking expected impacts of HB.1 (“Big Beautiful Bill”) on Education, Health, Economic Stability, Seniors, and Veterans in order to identify and highlight the tangible impact on Broward’s children, families, and communities.

Below, you will find the Expected Impacts of the BBB Matrix separated by category with information on implications of policy changes, budgetary impacts, relevant programs/agencies and reference links. The date of the last update is included in the upper right corner of each category.

Expected Impact of the BBB Matrix

In Florida, nonprofits received a total of $12.4B in government grants. Broward is third in the state for nonprofits that received the most government funding

Nonprofits in the 24th Congressional district (which includes Pembroke Park, West Park & parts of Miramar) is one of the top areas in the state at risk for the biggest funding gap to fill if government grants are lost per ULI
