Mission: To transform Broward into a collaborative community where older adults age and thrive with dignity.
Convene and coordinate a broad coalition of community sectors, organizations and individuals to find creative and collaborative solutions addressing the needs of older adults (bring together the various parts of the community that can affect positive change and provide solutions for the needs of older adults)
Address changes that will foster greater engagement and improve quality of life for older adults in Broward
Advocate on behalf of the needs of older adults (develop messaging around older adults and their benefit to the community)
Mobilize support for older adult issues and services;
Develop a comprehensive plan for improving the quality of life and engagement of older adults (create a one pager and plan for general distribution)
Convene a yearly summit to review and assess the situation of older adults in the community (provide a yearly report card of progress)
